Job Title: 1 x Welder (FCAW & SAW)

  • Perform engineering measurements
  • Read and interpret technical drawing
  • Use power tools/hand held operation
  • Carry out mechanical cutting
  • Mark off structural fabrications and shapes
  • Use relevant workshop machines for basic operations
  • Select welding processes
  • Apply safe welding practices
  • Perform manual heating and thermal cutting
  • Weld using FCAW (flux core arc welding) process
  • Weld using SAW (submerge arc welding)
  • Perform routine oxy acetylene welding
  • Perform routine manual metal arc welding
  • Perform routine gas metal arc welding
  • Perform routine gas tungsten arc welding
  • Desirable:
  • Perform advanced welding using FCAW (flux core arc welding) process
  • Perform advanced welding using SAW (submerge arc welding)
  • Must have 5 +years of experience in both FCAW and SAW welding
  • Some experience with operating a beam machines
