Desirable:
Possess Mechanical Qualifications
5 + years' work experience with the following heavy mobile equipment: Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr or large equipment (e.g. 773D-777D, 740 Moxy, 631 Scraper) 85/789, 793, 992/994 loaders) Liebherr (992, 994, 996, 9250, 9400) Hitachi EX1200 Excavator, Cat Excavators 390, 385, 365, 345, 336, 330, Cat Loaders 972-980, 966, 950, as well as Toyota, John Deer, Mack and Volvo.
Proven experience in assisting with diagnosis of faults to components deemed to be requiring maintenance
Strip and rebuild components using the manufacturers reusable guidelines
Components to be rebuilt include diffs, transmissions, torque convertors, pump drivers and may extend to engines, rams and hubs heavy and earthmoving equipment such as i.e. Caterpillar, Hitachi, Komatsu, Toyota, John Deer, Mack, Volvo.
Showing interdependence & initiative finding problems, solving and troubleshooting skills
Must have valid current Driver's License – Heavy Duty Vehicles
Working in small teams to achieve deadlines
Perform Risk Assessments for every task, maintaining and focusing on safe work practices and a safe work environment
Demonstrated capacity to interpret hydraulic and electric schematics and learn new systems, methods and technologies.
Able to work competently unsupervised
Able to read and understand Hydraulic and Electrical Schematics

Working Conditions :
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor
Candidate will be carrying out all mechanical repairs & maintenance products both in the Workshop and on
Field Service.
May require candidate to be on a DIDO – drive in drive out to/from mine site) on a 2/1 roster (7days, 7 nights, 7 days off)
Client will assist with camp facilities/accommodation
